Targeting, scheduling and A/B tests
Show shapes to the right visitors, run maps on a schedule and test two versions against each other.
Who sees a shape
Each shape can be limited to certain visitors. Turn on Responsive in the Builder toolbar, select the shape and open Basic → Visibility conditions:
| Condition | Options |
|---|---|
| Show to | Everyone, logged-in customers only, or guests only. |
| Customer groups | Tick the groups that may see it; none ticked means all. |
| Languages | Tick the languages; none ticked means all. |
Use it for member-only offers, B2B prices for a customer group, or a shape that makes sense in one language only.
Schedule a map
A map can switch itself on and off by date — handy for seasonal campaigns.
- Open the project's Canvas tab.
- Under Schedule (optional) set Show from and/or Show until.
Outside the window the map is hidden everywhere: home page, embeds and iframes. Leave a date empty for an open start or end. Dates use the shop's time zone.
A/B test two maps
Compare two versions of a map — a different photo, layout or call to action — to see which sells more.
- Build the second version as a separate project and note its slug.
- In the first project, open Styles → Card (Tooltip) Style → A/B test.
- Turn on Split visitors between this map and a variant map.
- Enter the Variant map slug (B) and the share of visitors who see this map in % to A (default 50).
Each visitor is assigned to one version and keeps seeing it for 30 days. Because the versions are separate projects, their clicks and add-to-cart conversions appear separately in Analytics. Once you have a winner, turn the test off.
