We launched Moonivo Image Map: shoppable images for PrestaShop

On 5 July 2026 our first PrestaShop module went live on the PrestaShop Addons marketplace. It is called Moonivo Image Map, and it does one thing really well: it turns ordinary images into places where people can actually buy.

Why we built it#

Almost every store has them: beautiful lifestyle photos. A furnished living room, a model wearing the new collection, a banner with this season's bestsellers. Visitors look at those photos, like what they see, and then have to go hunting through categories to find the products in them. Most never do.

That gap between seeing and buying is exactly what shoppable images close. Click the sofa in the photo and get the sofa's card: name, live price, variants and an Add to cart button. No searching, no friction, no lost intent.

What Moonivo Image Map does#

You upload an image, draw clickable areas on it (rectangles, circles, free-form polygons or pulsing hotspot dots) and connect each area to your catalogue. From there the module takes over:

• Product cards show live prices, discounts and combinations straight from your catalogue, in every language your shop runs, and can show the product's own picture.
• Scenes put several photos in one map. Visitors switch rooms with tabs, buttons, arrows or dots, and every scene has its own hotspots.
• A synced product list can sit next to the image, with an Add all to cart button for the whole set.
• Filter chips let visitors narrow the hotspots by group, say Lighting or Furniture, and they follow the scene on screen.
• Scheduling shows a map or single shapes only in a chosen date range, handy for campaigns.
• Maps go anywhere: the home page, CMS pages, product or category descriptions, or an iframe.

Measure what actually gets clicked#

A shoppable image is also a measurement tool. The module records clicks over time, per-shape performance and add-to-cart conversions, and draws a real click-density heatmap over your image, per scene. If you are not sure which layout sells better, built-in A/B testing splits traffic between two variants and shows you the numbers. GA4 and Meta Pixel events work out of the box, and no personal data is stored.

• Technical shops: size charts, floor plans and diagrams that link to the right products.

Built for real stores#

Moonivo Image Map runs on PrestaShop 1.7.0 to 9.1 and installs no overrides, so PrestaShop's core files stay untouched. It works with multistore, and its storefront texts ship translated into French, Spanish, German, Italian, Polish, Dutch, Portuguese and Lithuanian. Every colour, border, shadow and card style is configurable or one click away with a style preset. Projects can be exported and imported, and a one-click backup keeps your work safe.
